WHY JAPAN?

A longtime dream of our brew master and co-founder, Rob LoBreglio, Great Dane Japan this month opened its doors after years of planning. But why Japan? LoBreglio has longstanding ties to the country, having visited regularly – almost a home away from home.

His brother, a professor of Japanese studies, also introduced him to Tetsuya Kiyosawa in the mid-90s. LoBreglio, who formed a friendship with Kiyosawa, mentored him more than two decades ago, only to reconnect with the idea to open Great Dane Japan, where they’ll brew beers for the entire country.

Great Lager: Sendai’s flagship brew

Straight from Sendai’s recipe books, Great Lager boasts a light caramel flavor with a crisp finish. A distinct fusion of European and American hops produces subtle floral and citrus aromas. 5.0% ABV. For a limited time, get $2 single cans or $8 six-packs.
